Check out these UK-based sustainable companies

With the launch of OPOH’s brand new curated online store, I thought it would be good to revisit some of the incredible, UK-based sustainable companies we’re collaborating with.

I’ve had the great fortune to speak to the founders and spokespeople of scores of new businesses. The companies I’m interested in range from sustainable magazines to helpful apps. And from to those selling items from eco-fashion to beauty.

But the one thing they all have in common is that people like you and me run them. People who want to see a better world are bringing their ethics into business.

You’ll find selected items from these companies in our shop. But you might well be struggling to decide which eco-product to go for first. We’re putting together a selection of sustainable bundles to help you choose.

This small Wales-based business did well at the Corporate Livewire Prestige awards in 2021/22. It won vegan cosmetics company of the year.

Flawless founder, Charmain Armour, is dedicated to creating cruelty-free, plastic-free, beauty products. All items are handmade with natural ingredients in Wrexham. And they smell and feel delicious.

After suffering from tooth problems for years, Alex Rocci started looking for natural dental care products. But when he couldn’t find any, he started making his own.

His vegan and paraben-free range includes toothpaste tabs, mouthwash tablets, oil-pulling mouthwash and dental floss. And even better, Georganics products are all made from natural ingredients and are certified cruelty-free.

Not satisfied in the world of dental care, Alex moved on to creating skincare products and solid shampoos. And what started off as a personal project soon turned into another business.

Zerolla makes deliciously scented shampoos, conditioners, moisturisers and deodorants. The products are organic and vegan. And Zerolla’s minimal packaging is simple: 100% sustainable and biodegradable FSC paper that’s completely free from plastic.

We’re always on the lookout for more UK-based sustainable companies. But for the time being, all of us at OPOH are super excited to be working with these enterprises. So, to get your hands on some of their products, check out our new store.
